co.cc Domain Banned From Google
Yesterday I have realized that my site (bollywoodfreezone.co.cc) got completely removed from Google search results. That is my all co.cc sites are banned from Google indexing. Not sure when it first started, but even when I search for “site:bollywoodfreezone.co.cc” Google turns up no results from my site. But one thing I observed that this happened with Google only not with other search engines. They are still indexing co.cc domain. Google has removed, banned and penalized any site using a co.cc sub domain.
As Per Google Official Blog
Over the past few months, Google’s systems have detected a number of bulk subdomain providers becoming targets of abuse by malware distributors. Bulk subdomain providers register a domain name, like example.com, and then sell subdomains of this domain name, like subdomain.example.com. Subdomains are often registered by the thousands at one time and are used to distribute malware and fake anti-virus products on the web. In some cases our malware scanners have found more than 50,000 malware domains from a single bulk provider. [Source]
Co.Cc Domain Removal From Google Index Possible Reasons
Google recently updated page rank and their search algorithm for websites and blogs. Since then, all co.cc domain lost their place in Google search index. It’s always had high-ranking results for some keywords. There are more sites of mine which has co.cc domains are already removed from Google Search / Index
The .co.cc service is provided by a private Korean company, not the official registry for .cc, the country-code TLD for Cocos Islands. It offers two domain names for free and low-cost bulk registrations.
The flexibility and low cost of the service has made it a favorite for cyber criminals who now use co.cc domain in many of their campaigns, particularly scare ware distribution ones.
Google’s decision to remove indexing of all co.cc domain does not necessarily protect users unless they are also banned via the company’s Safe Browsing service used by Firefox and Chrome.
